Industrial by-product gypsum refers to the by-product or waste slag of calcium sulfate as the main component generated by chemical reaction in industrial production, also known as chemical gypsum or industrial waste gypsum.   • Fluorine gypsum

Fluorogypsum is a by-product mainly of anhydrous calcium sulfate which is obtained from hydrofluoride produced by the hydrolysis of fluorite with sulfuric acid. At present, the main method of producing hydrogen fluoride in the world is the hydrolysis of fluorite with sulfuric acid. The emission of fluoro-gypsum is closely related to the production of hydrogen fluoride. China has large reserves of fluorite in the world, and proved reserves have taken up one third of the total reserves of the world. Due to abundant resources, the production of hydrogen fluoride in China has increased rapidly in recent years. In 2018, the total production capacity was 201.1 million tons. According to 3.4t of fluorine gypsum per ton of hydrogen fluoride, the annual discharge of fluorine gypsum in China reached 6.837,400 tons. At present, most of them are not used, occupy a large amount of land and piled up in the open air, which has become a serious environmental pollution of industrial waste.
