What are the main uses of gypsum?

1. Building gypsum and high-strength building gypsum (cementing material)

Building gypsum is mostly used for building plastering, stucco, masonry mortar and manufacturing various gypsum products; high-strength building gypsum is mainly used for plastering projects, decorative products and gypsum boards with high requirements; high-strength building gypsum mixed with waterproofing agent can also be used to make It can be made into high-strength waterproof gypsum; adding organic bonding materials such as polyvinyl alcohol solution or synthetic resin emulsion, etc., can be made into a non-shrinking binder.

Example: compound organic bonding materials, and then mix with appropriate amount of retarder, water-retaining agent and other chemical admixtures to make interior wall plastering gypsum; make gypsum blocks, gypsum board and other wall materials, gypsum lines, gypsum reliefs, etc. decorative structure.

2. Gypsum for floor materials

The natural dihydrate gypsum is calcined at above 800 ℃, so that part of the calcium sulfate is decomposed into calcium oxide. The finely ground product is called high-temperature calcined gypsum, also known as floor gypsum. This type of gypsum has high strength and wear resistance after hardening. , water resistance is also good, can be used as gypsum floor and gypsum cushion.

Examples: gypsum floor materials, self-leveling gypsum floor materials.

3. Interior wall putty and functional putty

Using gypsum cementing material as the main film-forming material, adding additives and fillers such as water-retaining agent, retarder, organic adhesive, etc., can be made into ordinary interior wall putty and interior wall painting materials; adding functional additives to make Functional interior wall putty.

Examples: such as ordinary gypsum-based interior wall putty, anion-releasing interior wall putty, interior wall moisture-adjusting putty and interior wall painting materials, etc.

4. Fireproof material

In case of fire, the crystal water in the dihydrate gypsum evaporates, absorbs heat, and forms anhydrite with good heat insulation and certain fire resistance on the surface of the product.

Examples: gypsum fireproof board, gypsum fireproof blocking material, etc.
